Oleari Virginio
Our history
1943
Mr. Virginio Oleari gained his work experience in the company "la Rhodense", where he became production manager, specialized in conductors for electric windings.
1960
Together with his wife, Mrs. Jolanda, he founded the OLEARI VIRGINIO company, designing and building the machine to coat capillary metal alloy threads (Nickel-Chrome/ Manganine/ Copper/ Brass) in pure silk.
1964
With the development of the national telephone network, and thus doubling the production volumes, the company consistently expanded. The taping of copper wires and strips is introduced as a new process to compensate for the lower demand for coiled alloy wires.
Second half ‘60ies
As a consequence of the development of new radio and television channels, the production specializes in copper capillary wires (diam. 0.10 mm) covered in natural silk, and manufacturing of Litz wire is introduced (insulated in silk or new materials such as Nylon) to have an alternative to the German production.
’70ies
Copper and aluminum flat and non-capillary wires, coated with tapes for the electromechanical sector, are added to the production catalogue.
1988
The production of copper shields for cables is introduced, mainly used for telephony and wiring.
1989
Together with his son Antonio, a new company was created, Elektra Wire S.r.l, where the production of bare and insulated drawn and laminated products for electrical and mechanical use was entirely transferred.
